Men's Kimono Life's tailoring prices are calculated according to the combination of items and materials.

Outer fabric materials (¥60,000 for all)

*Silk is also available. (Estimate required)

Siljelly

In the past, polyester kimonos had the image of being inferior products. However, Siljelly is a high-quality polyester material developed by Toray that is said to be indistinguishable from silk.

Seo α

Seo α is also high-quality polyester material by Toray. It's quick-drying, ultra-absorbent and breathable, so used in sportswear, too. It's suitable for summer yukata.

Cotton

There are three types of fabrics: thicker cotton for hitoe (no-lining) kimonos, combed cotton used for general yukata and men-kobai which has an uneven surface and is thinner and cooler.

*Preshrinking fee 3,000 Yen is added.

Cotton linen

As the name suggests, a blend of cotton and linen. It is suitable for summer kimonos due to its cool and comfortable fit.

Lining materials

Kanakin

26,000 Yen

High-quality cotton material with a lustre specially designed for the lining of men's kimonos.

Up to 76 cm of Yukitake (From the centre of the back to the cuff)

Polyester

15,000 Yen

A Typical synthetic fibre used for kimonos.
When combined with wool, it tends to generate static electricity.
